Who knows where life takes you...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilm2Je6gx5s

When I think about this, many a song come to mind a leave behind a small smile on the face. They talk about leaving the known, venturing into the unknown, with a few dreams, with hope, and with memories. And this scene in the movie perfectly captures the naive mind before it is thrown into the realities of the world. Those songs capture the state of the mind when one is starting her new journey. And currently, in my mind -

Peechen kuch choot raha tha, yeh ehsaas thaa...
Par aage badhna ka bhi aas thaa.

Nikal gaye apni mukam ki aur...
Pohoch gaye milo door...
Aur yeh nayi zindagi sambhalne ke liye,
Kahi kho gaye hum, hoke majboor.

Ab kabhi kabhi yaadein aati hain...
Woh milne ka vaade yaad aate hain.
Woh pehli baarish mein bheegne ka ehsaas ab kuch alag hain.
Dhoop ho ya chaav, saare ehsaas hi thag hain.

Kabhi phir milenge, yeh kehke dil ko behlate hain...
Aur kahi milne ka mauka aayein, tab hi saare kaam yaad aate hain.

Naav saath mein hi toh nikli thi...
Itni dooriyaan kaha se aa gayi...
Ab toh milne par bhi pehchan nahi hain...
Ae zindagi, tu hame apna asli chehra dikha gayi.

HARSH

Right from the times when we used to play Hand Cricket in school, to all the crap we did in the 11th and 12th to meeting up after u were done with ur college to meeting up everytime there was anyone in town and just catching up, to the random call that would go on for hours, every moment with you Harsh has been cherished.

Every single story of yours has and forever will be remembered.

No one has fought as bravely as you, for every single thing, with the biggest smile always on your face. The positive spin of yours on every single thing has spoken volumes always.

That you have moved onto the next journey has not sunk in. Perhaps wont. You live on in every person's heart you have touched. Keep rocking the heavens.

Harsh, Till later....

The Farting Competition

The Farting Competition,
Has an impossible mission.
Your fart has to be so ferocious,
It has to knock everyone unconscious.

So in the year 1948
It was held at the India Gate.
Where thousands had arrived,
Eating things only fried.

And then started the competition
Towards the impossible mission.

First came up a man who looked like a bear,
And let his fart in the air.
It went and reached the Kumbh Mela fair.
It knocked only one person down there,
And came back to the great big bear.

Then a woman came up.
She looked like a great big pup.
A sizzling sound was heard up there.
She had let a stink in the air.
It knocked down only ten people.
Though others felt feeble.

Then came up a stout tall man,
And let his fart like a bang.
It knocked and knocked everyone down.
The air around was only brown.
As methane filled the ground,
A winner at last was found!

The Choir of Silence

A quiet humming, a bird silently sings.
Is it noise, or the choir of silence?

The leaves rustle, a soft wind blows by...
And ever so silently, a raindrop falls and makes a splash.

The quiet sound of a baby, which in its own way sings
Makes perfect rhythm with a kid shrieking in joy.

A silent wail of despair around...
As a homeless man asks for alms in the silence of the sound.

An angry shout by the blowing car horn...
Blends with the din as the moon appears alongside the thunder.

There is laughter, there is a sigh.
A quiet smile, a huge cry.

There is stomping of the feet as the signal turns green.
Screeching car tires express their feeling.

And as if a play in motion, everything moves along.
In the noise, in the din - Silence plays its song.

Shaala...

Manachi ek kalpana,
Jyat aapan shikto.
Jyat aapan aapla drushtikon vadhavto.

Jyat kahi bandhan nahi...
Jyat kahi seema hi nahi...

Varya sarkha vahu shakto...
Nadya sarkha bahu shakto...

Samudra kinare baslelya sarkha latanna tasan tas baghu shakto...
Nahitar eka rang spardhyat, jeevanachya kaagdavar rang bharu shakto...

Jithe aapan padto, pan padyavar punha uthto, pudhe badhto.

Hee jeevan ach ek shaala aahe.
Je aapan kuthetari visarloy.

Heavily inspired by the Marathi movie - Shaala.

A new beginning

Hain khamoosh, neelam yeh samaa.
Stabdh hain zameen. Stabdh hain aasmaan.
Dhundli hain sab manzil. Khamosh hain yeh jahaan.

Har lehar, har mauj ki apni hi aahat hain.
Yeh samdra ka shor nahi, ek mithi gungunahat hain.

Havayein kanon mein goonjke kuch keheti hain
Kuch hain nahi uski manzil, woh bass beheti hain.

Hain chitra yeh pyara sa, har pal rang badalta hain...
Har pal, har rang apna kirdaar nibhake, agli raah par chalta hain...

Bass badhta jao ab, manzil ko to aana hain!
Ghatayein hatt jayengi, bass ek naya drushtikon apna na hain...

Aakhir - mukam toh hain ek kavita...
tumhi toh ho kavi, tumhari hi hain vo rachna..

Ab iske paar hum hain aaye aur phir mile hain dorahe.
Ab bass, gungunate, muskurate hain badhna, khole apni baahein!
